The Catastrophic Time Bank is a mechanism which enables Unit 2 members to assist fellow employees in times of financial hardship due to injury or a prolonged illness that has incapacitated them or a family member, when they are unable to work and their leave credits have been exhausted. Section 9.7 of the CASE MOU permits the transfer of leave credit between employees.
Accordingly, donors may transfer a portion of their accumulated vacation, annual leave, personal leave, or personal holidays to a fellow employee. The initial donation must be a minimum of one hour for Bargaining Units 2. Any subsequent donations must be in whole hour increments.
